SUPRA Chino: Oscar Candon Signature Colorway & Video
Paris-based team rider Oscar Candon is steadily making a name for himself worldwide with his unique style of unpretentious, no-frills skateboarding that combines switch skill with full-bore speed.
Originally from Montpellier, France, Oscar picked up skateboarding while living in Washington D.C. From starting out on the weathered concrete of the American East Coast, Candon returned to France and continued to sharpen his teeth on the rugged Old World terrain as he grew into the go-anywhere-skate-everything ATV he is today.
“The shoes are super simple. I can’t wear anything other than something really simple – nothing too tech-y or something with big logos or anything. These are really sick and the colors are good,” Oscar says of the Chino. Reminiscent of one of his favorite styles, the Cuba slip-on, he adds, “I love them. They’re thin but with laces so they’re really supportive – they’re perfect.”
Repurposing proven ‘team favorites’ like the Stacks II, the Chino utilizes the vulc sole for traction, comfort, durability and performance, while borrowing style elements from the low top Pistol team model.
