Introducing The Lucien Clarke x PWBC Quattro
Lucien Clarke makes his mark on the Quattro with a signature colorway inspired by his mates in the PWBC and their notorious taste for the nightlife.
The Palace Wayward Boys Club is the ironic name that Lucien and his friends gave themselves years back. The PWBC has grown from a group of friends living and partying together in various London skate houses, each dubbed “The Palace,” to a group of industrious misfits running several successful skate and lifestyle brands all while remaining true to their simple origins of getting pissed and tagging PWBC in pub bathrooms around London.
In keeping with the PWBC’s skate-all-day party-all-night lifestyle, Lucien took the simple athletic-inspired design of the Quattro and outfitted with an upper of black suede with reflective accents that come to life once night falls. “One of my favorite features is the reflective leather around the laces and the heel,” Lucien said of the design. “It looks extra renegade, like a completely different shoe at night.”
Along with the reflective eye stay and heel collar, this Quattro features metallic aglets, pyramid silver eyelets and signature PWBC lace clips as well as artwork from Lucien’s own PWBC tattoo adorns the padded insoles.
A beveled midsole of black SUPRAFOAM provides excellent impact absorption while masking compression wrinkles to extend the life of the shoe. A translucent ice outsole compliments the stealth colorway and ensures optimal traction and board feel.
“I just wanted to keep it simple and straightforward,” Lucien said of the shoe. “All black anything for me is just very gully in general.” The Lucien Clarke signature Quattro colorway is available now at better skate shops worldwide.
