Terry Kennedy, is a native of Long Beach, California where he grew up in the inner city, plagued by gangs and violence. After losing his mother to drugs at a young age, Terry turned to skateboarding as an outlet to escape the gang culture. He has dedicated all of his energy to skateboarding and has since become one of the most recognized African American skateboarders in the world.
