SUPRA Presents The SNS "Curry" Owen
NOVEMBER 23, 2012
The SUPRA SNS "Curry" Owen, designed by the crew at Sweden’s premiere sneaker emporium, Sneakersnstuff, is a remarkably designed, custom footwear piece.
“I've been working in the sneaker industry since 1989,” said Peter Jansson, co-founder of Sneakersnstuff, “and I rarely look at any brands other than the originators of the game. But I fell in love with the guys at SUPRA and their way of treating me and my crew. And that’s why we wanted to do a premium Swedish take on the Owen because the Owen has become a Sneakersnstuff favorite: lightweight, good looking, and super comfy, that's what it's all about.”
The SNS “Curry” Owen represents the first time the lightweight shoe has featured a leather upper—the curry colored, full-grain leather achieves its deep, rich color from all natural vegetable dyes used in the tanning process. The full-grain leather upper rests upon a lightweight, off-white SUPRAFOAM sole with brown traction pods.
The team at SNS added a number of notable features and details:
- Full-grain leather lining
- SNS/SUPRA-embossed full-grain leather sock liner
- SNS/SUPRA-embossed full-grain leather tongue label
- Brown rope laces with SNS engraved metal aglets
- SNS engraved metal eyelets
- Alternate laces in gold foil-branded bag
- SNS full-grain leather hang tag
The SNS “Curry” Owen package also includes a full-grain leather phone case that is embossed with not just one SUPRA crown, but three: a nod to the Tre Kronor (Three Crowns), the national emblem of Sweden. (The Tre Kronor also appears under the tongue.)

Only 365 pairs of the SNS “Curry” Owen were created and they are on sale at Sneakersnstuff and select locations worldwide (see list below) on Saturday, November 17.
