2012 Three Amigos Tour: Part One
APRIL 18, 2012

The 2012 Three Amigos Tour officially kicked of in Dallas, Texas with a signing at Index skate shop followed by a demo at the Lewisville skatepark. During the signing we had time to ask Boo a couple questions about his new Amigo colorway.
What was the inspiration for your Amigo colorway?
Actually I had some shoes when I first started skating that were very similar to the Amigo shape that I loved. I even remember I always thought they would look better maroon with a gum sole back then. So this ended up being the perfect chance to finally make that happen.
What do you like about the Amigo?
Well, on my design I just really like the feel of the gum sole. And the maroon color just goes so good with the gum sole, but the Amigo all around is just one of SUPRA's better shoes to skate in.
What are you looking forward to the most on this tour?
Just hanging out with the bros once again.
Any advice for the new ams on their first Three Amigos Tour?
Nick Tucker and Pat Rumney? I don't know, just be down and have fun. Actually Nick Tucker's got to toughen up. Dude got taken out at the demo by bashing his leg into a spear-sharp ledge corner. Then he started saying it hurt so bad he couldn't walk when we were at Whole Foods. So he rode the handicapped electric wheelchair, but dude rode it up the escalator and almost got stuck. So a security guard came and kicked him and Keelan out. How do you get banned from Whole Foods? Dude needs to stop blowin’ it. I'm hyped to have him on the trip for sure though, he's the homie.
Se hablas Espanol?
Aspen below? How do you say that?
It means, “Do you speak Spanish?”
Ha, ummm, no mi amigo.
Okay, well how about you tell everyone your favorite Mexican dish?
Carne asada, or a bean and cheese burrito with guacamole. That's my jam.

Most of the demos seem to start off warming up at the stairs and rail. Keelan with a backside over-crooks.

Boo decided to grind across and down the whole rail.

Then he figured he might as well boardslide the whole thing as well.

He even kickflipped up the four on his way back.

Then it was a off to the "launcher session!" as Neen called it. Backside 180 heel.

Kevin Romar with a 50 mph kickflip versus 50 mph winds.

Nick Tucker blasted a huge kickflip shifty.

Pat Rumney closed it out with a crowd-pleasing backside 360 grab. Austin is up next!
