Lizard King's Passion Trip officially kicked off at the CCS in Ventura, California to over 300 very happy and hyperactive fans. As security guards swarmed, and chants of "Lizard! Lizard!" echoed from outside shop, Lizard King casually looked at his hand-selected band of outlaws and said, "That's right. That's my face on the poster. None of you guys would be here without me." To which Neen Williams, The Nuge, Richie Belton, Jon Dickson, Figgy, Thomas Bonilla, and Matt Mumford all started laughing because it was so ridiculous, but true. Autographs were signed, prize packs featuring Lizard's new shoe The Passion were given away, and everyone had a great time before jumping in the RV to begin the drive to Phoenix, Arizona.

On the way to Phoenix our friends Steve Clare, Steven Johnson, Ted, and Tad saw the #passiontrip instagram tags and hit us up. They were already camping by the Colorado River and—a couple quick texts later—we realized they were only an hour away in Blythe.

Richie Belton might have his leg in a cast and needs a wheelchair, but that doesn't mean he can't assist the Passion team.

Our camping site ruled. Fire ruled. Beer ruled.

"Hey guys, guess what?…"

"… THIS IS MY TOUR!"

Lizard awoke wondering what the hell happened to Jon Dickson's tent.

The whole camp had been woken up by screams coming from Jon Dickson starting at about 4am. It sounded like he was moaning and occasionally mumbling stuff in his sleep like, "I hate it! I hate this!" Later, when we all woke up, we found that Jon hadn't listened to anyone's advice to not camp close to the river because it might rise.

So Jon woke up freezing, wet, and angry.

Figgy thought it was really funny.

Fun fact: Nuge and all the homies were so excited to see each other the night before the tour started that they got in a bit of a bar brawl.

We're out of here, off to Phoenix and the Cowtown demo.

The demo started with everyone working on back to back quarter pipe tricks. Lizard started with a fakie nosegrind to fakie.

Nuge followed by blasting a frontside grab over the channel.

Then Dickson shut her down with a backside over crooks.
